Rationale

ISEAC is a symposium co-located in the International Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning (ICODeL) that brings together experts and practitioners from various fields to explore the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and their applications in education. The rapid pace of technological advancements in AI has revolutionized how we live and work, and education is no exception. While the convergence of education and AI has been beneficial for applications such as improving personalized learning, automating grading and assessment, and providing real-time feedback to students, it also has its fair share of challenges that includes ensuring the ethical use of AI, addressing the digital divide, and designing effective AI-powered learning tools.

The symposium aims to provide a premier platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to come together to traverse the intersection of AI and education and its potential to enhance the quality of learning and teaching experiences. It shall feature keynote speeches and paper presentations that cover a wide range of topics related to AI and education. Moreover, the symposium is envisioned to be a venue of opportunities for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among participants from the academe, industry, and government.

Goals

To provide a premier venue for the sharing of ideas through keynote speeches, paper presentations, informal networking, and exchanges.

To establish a Special Interest Group of Education and AI Convergence within the ICODeL community (i.e., ICODeL-SIGEAC).
